Labour & Birth Doula
During labour and birth a Doula is there to provide emotional, physical and informative support to the woman and her partner, through the process and any decisions that they have to make.
A doula is not medically trained but can offer encouragement and suggestions when appropriate and required.
Fees £300
This includes 2 visits ante-natally to discuss your requirements throughout labour and birth including birth plan and pain relief options if necessary, support during labour and birth and 1 visit post-natally.
A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required at the first ante-natal visit to exclusively book my time to you with the balance payable at the post-natal visit.
Where possible I will nominate a ‘back up’ doula to come with me on the initial ante-natal visit. This is in place in case of any sickness or unforeseen circumstances.
Planned/Elective Caesarean Birth
Fee £150
This includes one ante-natal visit to discuss what happens during a caesarean and the support you would like during and after the birth.
Post-Natal Doula
A post-natal doula is there to offer practical, emotional and informative support to the woman and her family in the early weeks after their new baby has safely arrived in the world.
Generally a doula would visit 2 to 3 times per week for the first 6 to 8 weeks and be there to allow the mother to rest, heal and take care of the baby in the stress free comfort of her own home. Whether this be carrying out some of the household chores, taking care of baby whilst mum gains some well earned rest or helping with older siblings.
Fees Variable £15 per hour
This includes the first, approx 1hr, ante-natal visit free to discuss your requirements prior to baby's
arrival followed by subsequent visits of 2 or 3 times per week for a minimum of 2 hours per visit at a
cost of £15per hour. This will then be invoiced and payable at the end of the week.
How many visits per week for however long can be discussed and reviewed when necessary.
